Color photo showing bundles of second-hand clothes on the ground outside a buildingIn her most recent series of photographic works, Zoe Leonard focuses her square viewfinder on small shops and businesses on three continents. This series, titled Analogue (1997–2007), documents discount stores, repair shops, second-hand stores, restaurants, and flea markets that are separated by thousands of miles.

Yet, they share a common consumerism vocabulary and are linked by a global network of traded goods, as exemplified by bundles of second-hand clothes that have made the round trip between developing countries and the United States.
