This site comprises the archives of the magazine Ciel variable from its first issue published in 1987 up to now. This site surveys more than twenty years of the magazine and it offers an overview of its metamorphoses over the years as photographic practices evolved, as their field of application broadened, as they were increasingly recognized by the art world, and as their institutional environment changed.
